Public Input Needed #1
McLean County Land Use Plan
The McLean County Regional Planning Commission (MCRPC) has the strategic land use plan available for public comment. The plan details proposed future land uses in McLean County, Bloomington, and Normal. It promotes sustainable growth, smart land-use practices, and the preservation of natural resources for future generations.
The draft plan was developed in collaboration with staffs from the City of Bloomington, the Town of Normal and McLean County. It is intended to serve as an offshoot of the McLean County Regional Comprehensive Plan Update which is currently being developed.
After reviewing the plan, the public is encouraged to complete the public comment form, available until July 23. All feedback will help with the final map document, anticipated by August.
Hard copies of the plan are available at the MCRPC office and the Bloomington and Normal Public Libraries. Listen to the story on WGLT.
