League Members Help Develop Infographic

Voters with disabilities have available a new source of clear, concise information on the voting process and accommodations. After reviewing the relevant federal and state laws and interviewing local election authorities, a team of McLean County League members developed an infographic to prepare these individuals for their voting experience.

Mary O’Brian, Peggy Swerdlik, and Mark Swerdlik, McLean County League members, are all specialists in serving people with disabilities. The infographic they developed will be included in the McLean County Judges' Election Manual as well as given to greeters at the polls who will be familiarized with the information in it.

Besides the County Clerk’s office, other organizations planning to share this tool with clients include the ISU Center for Civic Engagement, LifeCil and others serving people with disabilities.

The McLean County League of Women Voters is pleased to provide this resource so voters with disabilities are more confident in exercising their right to vote.

Members are encouraged to download and share the new infographic.
