Voting Experience Survey Launches

Last Wednesday we announced our online survey of McLean County voters with a press release to area media and initial Facebook post. The online survey will help the study team get insights from voters themselves about how they think about and experience the voting process.

Will you help get the word out? Please tell your family, friends, neighbors, and community groups about the survey, and how to take it. To help with this:
Send an email to info@lwvmclean.org with questions or for help sharing. And, if you have suggestions or ideas for how to get the survey in front of voters under age 50 and those newer to the community, email your thoughts to info@lwvmclean.org.

We want to reach as many and as wide a range of McLean County voters as we can during the month of May. Your help is essential and greatly appreciated!

We Did It!
LWV Accomplished Goal for Museum

Our local League generously contributed to the LWV-Illinois drive to the Project XV Museum. Future visitors to the museum will see a wall circled citing LWV as a supporter.

The Project XV Museum is the first voting rights museum in the state of Illinois and tells the story of the first Black man to vote in Illinois, David Strother. In these current times, it is important to celebrate a citizen who represents proud black voters. We are part of that celebration! Thank you to all who donated.

This Wednesday

Come to get all of the facts on the Act, what it is and what it prescribes.

Hear Local Residents' Views on Housing

As part of a statewide housing planning effort, the Illinois Housing Development Authority is hosting listening sessions to learn residents’ perspectives on local needs and goals. They will use this information to create an Illinois Housing Blueprint for municipalities, state agencies, nonprofits and locals leaders use.

The listening session for our area will be held on Wednesday June 17 in Peoria. If you would like to participate, please RSVP using this link
In addition, a community survey is open to all residents. The survey can be found here

This is an opportunity to assure your thoughts on the local housing situation are heard and responded to.
