Make a Difference
Send Holiday Cheer
by Beth Porter, Membership Director

The McLean County Museum of History (MCHM) seeks volunteers to help send postcards to senior care facilities across McLean County. Since 2020, the museum has sent Christmas postcards to seniors. The holidays can be challenging for those in care facilities, and these cards make a big difference. The holiday card parties will be in the museum's courtroom on Tuesday, December 3.

● 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Click here to RSVP. This morning session is only offered to LWV members and is not advertised elsewhere. Please bring a friend and make a difference to those in McLean County senior care facilities this holiday season.

● 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Click here to RSVP. This card party is advertised on the MCHM website, and they will serve pizza and ask for the RSVP to have enough refreshments.

If you have questions, please email Beth at membership@lwvmclean.org or call Maria Mears, Director of Adult Education & Interns, at the museum directly: 309-827-0428.

LWV Action Alert
Certify ERA

All of the steps for ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment have been successfully completed. It now needs only to be certified in order to become the 28th Amendment. But that has not happened.

Please take the actions our LWVIL President outlines below. She’s made it very easy for us, and all five can be completed in about five minutes. Those few minutes could make a huge difference in the future of the women and girls of our country.
