Our Vote is Our Superpower: Where Does Ranked Choice Voting Fit?

Ranked Choice Voting is a topic gaining interest for offering voters a number of benefits. This voting method has been adopted in several states and cities, including one in Illinois. Could it be helpful to us here in Bloomington/Normal?

This program will help you to understand what RCV is, how it works, and how communities using it are experiencing it. Our League will host the program with Fair Vote Illinois (FVI), a non-partisan, statewide organization. Presenting for FairVote Illinois will be FVI Statewide Organizer Rebecca Williams, joined by FVI Policy and Research Lead Abigail Drumm.

The meeting is free and open to the public and League members. It will be a hybrid format, with both in-person and online attendance options offered. Following the informational presentation there will be an general Q&A.

We encourage attending in person. Advance registration is required for online attendees and recommended for in-person attendees. Online meeting links will be sent by email once registration is completed.
