Impact of Federal Policies and Funding Cuts
Mark your Calendar for Sept. 29 Program
Three panelists will share the impacts of federal policies and funding cuts on our community at the September 29 program. This is the third program the League is presenting in partnership with the Documentation Project.
The three panelists will discuss three different areas that have been impacted: Julie Emig, Director of the McLean County Museum of History, will discuss the impact on local museums and libraries; Dr. Gabe Spaulding, Physics Professor at IWU, will look at the loss of research grants to institutions of higher learning, as well as how international students seeking degrees are impacted; and David Sharar, Senior Advisor of Public Policy and Strategic Initiatives at Chestnut Health Systems and current will discuss reductions in Medicaid funding and other impacts on healthcare resulting from federal actions.
The program will be held on Tuesday, September 29, at Heartland Community College's Community Commons Building (CCB), room 1406/1407 from 6:30-8:00 pm. The event is free and open to the public.
