The League is presenting the third program in partnership with the Documentation Project to look at the impact of federal policies and funding cuts on our local community.

Three panelists will discuss three different areas that have been impacted: Julie Emig, Director of the McLean County Museum of History, will discuss the impact on local museums and libraries; Dr. Gabe Spaulding, Physics Professor at IWU, will look at the loss of research grants to institutions of higher learning, as well as how international students seeking degrees are impacted; and David Sharar, Senior Advisor of Public Policy and Strategic Initiatives at Chestnut Health Systems and current will discuss reductions in Medicaid funding and other impacts on healthcare resulting from federal actions.

The program will be held on Tuesday, September 29, at Heartland Community College's Community Commons Building (CCB), room 1406/1407 from 6:30-8:00 pm. The event is free and open to the public.
