About this event

Come enjoy a stimulating and informative dialog with League members, community friends, and guest Ed Yohnka, Director of Communications and Public Policy for the ACLU of Illinois. Our discussion will focus on navigating voting rights in 2026.

About Ed Yohnka
Ed brings a wealth of knowledge about a wide range of issues relevant to Illinois and McLean County. He began his job at the ACLU in June 1999. He serves as a primary spokesperson for the civil rights advocacy organization. He appears regularly on television and radio programs in Illinois and throughout the nation. He also is widely cited in newspapers and publications on legal and legislative matters related to the ACLU of Illinois’ priorities. From 1987 until 1999, he served on the staff of the American Bar Association, spending most of that time as a Special Presidential Assistant in the ABA’s Office of the President.

This gathering is organized by League members and community friends. It is free and open to the public.
