About this event

Members are invited to learn about a planned study to explore the potential for a local Student Civic Ambassador program.

The meeting will be invaluable to get member reaction to this program idea at this early study and exploratory time.

Student civic ambassador programs aim to empower young people to become active informed citizens. Program activities vary based on local needs, and are often created and implemented by strong partnerships of community groups and schools.

The League has a long tradition of following the principle of "study, then action." Studies, at their core, involve assembling a group of interested people to explore a topic or issue. A study team gathers relevant information to make choices or decisions. In this case, we have an idea, and the study method we've used and relied on for decades is a means to assess how to pursue it.
