			About this event

The national League seeks to adopt a new position on the federal judiciary. Members are invited to a Zoom consensus meeting about the LWVUS Federal Judiciary Study.
At the LWVUS Convention 2024, delegates voted to proceed with a study to develop a position on the federal judiciary as an essential component of US democracy. Its purpose includes addressing concerns and clarifying judicial accountability, transparency, independence, and ethics. The study scope addresses the Supreme Court as well as the other Article III federal courts.
Make your voice heard; this position will affect our advocacy on judicial ethics and more.  The LWVUS has provided background material to prepare us in advance for our meeting (see link below).
This is a members-only meeting. All members are encouraged to join in.  Don't worry if you're new or haven't participated in a consensus meeting before. You'll catch on!
Registration is required to receive Zoom link information.
In preparation for this discussion:
Please review information on the LWVUS Federal Judiciary Study Resources webpage. Resources include policy briefs. Note that the "study guide" listed includes a brief overview of consensus.
