Cabrini Movie Discussion -- March 12

Join a movie discussion on Tuesday, March 12, about the movie, Cabrini. It's playing in local theaters, AMC and Marcus. You can see the movie at your own convenience and then join LWV members for a discussion on Tuesday, March 12, at 6:30 p.m., at Parkview Inn (1003 S. Morris, Bloomington).

A little bit about the movie: it is about Francesca Cabrini, an Italian immigrant, who arrives in New York City in 1889 amidst disease, crime and impoverished children. Cabrini sets off on a daring mission to convince the hostile mayor to secure housing and healthcare for society's most vulnerable. With broken English and poor health, Cabrini uses her entrepreneurial mind to build an empire of hope unlike anything the world had ever seen. It is directed by Alejandro Monteverde, award-winning director of Sound of Freedom.
