Lessons Learned From Elections After the Dobbs Decision
Community Information Series - League of Women Voters of McLean County
 
When: Tuesday, April 2, 2024
Where: Unitarian Universalist Church, 1613 E. Emerson St., Bloomington IL
Time: 6:00 - 8:00 PM
Fifty years after the Roe v Wade decision, women's health and reproductive rights are being challenged. Hear about the "lessons learned" in the last year that may impact the November elections and these fundamental rights.
 
Guest speaker will be Rianne Hawkins, Senior Director, Public Policy and Advocacy for Planned Parenthood of Illinois. In her work, she plans and coordinates efforts to build support for Planned Parenthood and partner initiatives. Since joining Planned Parenthood in 2016, Hawkins has been involved in efforts to pass a number of reproductive health care initiatives; efforts include passage of the Reproductive Health Act in collaboration with the League of Women Voters of Illinois. 
 
Doors open at 6 PM, program begins at 6:30 PM. Coffee and dessert will be served. 
 
The event is free and open to the community.
