About this event

Join the League of Women Voters of Illinois to discuss the effect of social media and AI on elections—how can we protect democracy from the spread of misinformation and disinformation? Our featured speaker is Diane Chang, Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Brown Institute for Media Innovation at Columbia Journalism School and the former head of Election Integrity Product Strategy at Meta.

This event is the second in a series of League webinars where noted authorities will speak on relevant topics leading up to the U.S. Presidential Election on Tuesday, November 5. Presented by LWVIL’s Misinformation and Disinformation Task Force, the series is part of an effort to provide tools and resources that educate voters.

The event is free and open to all.

Event details can be found on the LWVIL Mis/Disinformation Task Force webpage at https://www.lwvil.org/misdis-info
